In the first grade classroom, we learned about Simchat Torah and how we rejoice with the Torah. For our celebration, we made edible Torah's out of pretzel sticks and fruit roll ups. In music we learned a new song about the colors of the rainbow that Rick Recht will be singing and then we played indoor gaga!

In the first grade classroom full of students eager to learn and have fun, we had a great first day! We learned about what makes up Rosh Hashanah from the greeting Shana Tova, to eating apples and honey for a sweet new year, and hearing an actual Shofar being blown. We played Rosh Hashanah themed games in computer lab and sang traditional and fun songs in music. To top the day off, we went outside to play in the gorgeous weather. It was a great day!
